How to Create a Romantic Christmas Dinner Table Setting

Setting a romantic Christmas dinner table is a great way to show your lover some appreciation. Christmas is a time to love and honor one another and setting the table with the romantic glow of candlelight and proper placement of items you can show how much you care for your significant other. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Place the white linen table cloth over the dinner table. A tablecloth should hang softly over the edges of your dinner table. Make sure you get the right size and shape table cloth for your table. There are measurements on the back of a tablecloth's package to guide you in selecting the right size. For a special Christmas dinner that may also celebrate an anniversary or special romantic event you can add a different color scheme. Dark reds, a good Christmas color, can also symbolize passion and love.

    2

Set up your candles toward the center of the table. You want them to create a soft seductive glow when the lights are out. Eating by candlelight is a very romantic way to share an evening meal. Taper candles work best for this because they are long and sensual. White candles are used because they are a symbol of purity and gold is for the Holiday of Christmas. Silver colored candles can also be used. Silver and gold are often associated with Christmas.

    3

Wrap up your silverware into the white or green cloth napkins. Tie these with a length of gold ribbon. This will accentuate the look of the napkins and add a special adornment to your dinner table's setting. Place the napkins to the right of your dinner plate. Add the wine glasses to the upper left side of the dinner plates.

    4

Take the two white roses and tie them together with a length of gold ribbon. A simple bow to hold them together looks very pretty. Place them gently on top of your partner's dinner plate. It is a nice touch of romance to give to your lover before the start of your holiday meal.
