How to Arrange Fruit Tray & Banquet Displays

How to Arrange Fruit Tray & Banquet Displays

If you are hosting a party or catering a banquet, assemble a fruit tray. This simple, refreshing platter will allow your guests to pick and choose their favorites, while filling their stomachs before or in place of a larger meal. Furthermore, it looks impressive, although the preparation is minimal. Choose local, seasonal fruits for the freshest spread and consider incorporating some dips or exotic options for an exciting variety. Make the tray easily accessible for guests and allow them to enjoy the tasty variety as they mingle and chat. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

    1

Rinse all your fruits to remove any dirt from their surfaces.

    2

Slice your large fruits into long pieces. You might want to cut the melons in half and use each section as small bowls after removing the fruit inside. Arrange your largest pieces on the tray or platter.

    3

Arrange small bowls of dips, such as yogurts or chocolates, among the large fruit. Place spoons in each bowl. Also place your hollowed melons if you want to use them as bowls, as well as extra bowls for small fruits.

    4

Cut your medium-sized fruits and arrange them among the larger fruits.

    5

Place your berries and other loose fruits in bowls, hollowed melons or in little piles in empty spaces around the tray.

    6

Set a small cup or bowl filled with toothpicks or small forks in easily accessible places. Set small plates for filling on either end of the table where the tray will be served.
